What would you do if you realized that by changing your business model and adopting another one, you could become profitable or, if already profitable, you could increase your revenues significantly?
And what if the new business model required a lot more work and smaller margins (but higher overall returns)? Would you still be willing to change?
It appears to me that way too many businesspeople are focused on increasing their revenues by a certain percentage, but will not consider more profitable business models within their industry.
Change is indeed risky and hard. But being a small business and growing at 10-20% a year will not get you too far.
Therefore, if significant growth is one of your goals, you will have to be willing to hear, discuss and adopt different business models, if it turns out that there are better and faster ways to grow the enterprise.
